In a recent interview with Elley Goldspring, Marketing and Advertising Officer at โ€˜Life Without Barriersโ€™ โ€“ Elley shared a few thoughts around what Life Without Barriers is trying to achieve with their recent marketing efforts and why theyโ€™re using custom printed paper cups as part of their overall campaign.

1. What is the overall objective of the Australia wide marketing campaign you are running?

Our objective is to recruit potential foster carers to provide a nurturing and caring environment for children and young people.

We support over 2,000 babies, children and young people in foster care and Out of Home Care across Australia, but also support other people through our disability services, aged care programs, post-foster care support and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people who are homeless, living with mental illness or who are refugees and asylum seekers. In total, Life Without Barriers supports over 11,500 people in Australia.

2. What advertising mediums have you used as part of the campaign?

Apart from the coffee cups we are using a number of mediums which includes magazines, print and digital newspapers, outdoor advertising and social media campaigns.

 

3. Why and how have your branded paper cups been used as part of the overall campaign?

Our branded cups have provided a unique medium to encourage conversation and discussion in a different setting. They are being used by coffee shops in local areas as well as industry events. But best of all they look amazing, and people not only want to use them, but hang onto them as pencil caddies and mini pot plant covers.

4. Based on your experience, what sort of businesses would you recommend might benefit from branded paper cups?

The cups have been great and we continue to use them throughout the country as a great way of getting our message across. Whether you are a national company or a small local one I can see some great advantages of using branded coffee cups to get right in front of your customers.
